Grown-Up Furniture and Big Boy Clothes

So, I know it has been a while since the last post...it just seems like January is flying by! So much to do and so many things to look forward to has kept the DeLine family busy!

Kevin and I have termed the months between January and March our "off-season." No football...no lake...no beach! Kind of depressing but it seems we pass the time easily...usually by shopping!!! And I'm so lucky to have a husband who loves to spend time with his family and enjoys shopping! I have to say...he's one of my best shopping buddies (you too mom!!)...he can spot something I would never look at and it completely works out! Well, our goal this off season is to beef up our house...and we started in the kitchen. We've had our kitchen table since I was a sophmore in college - yes, 1999! It survived all of my wonderful college days plus 3 moves...until now! We bought a "grown-up" table! And I love it! The best part - the table AND four chairs was $177!!!!! You just can't beat it!

And I just couldn't resist posting a few pics of Hudson...there was no way I could change him out of his church clothes yesterday, he looked like such a little man...and of course, I had to take a few pics (sorry, most of them came out a little blurry - he's basically running everywhere now)!!!

It's Snowing!!

Yes, snow! We never get snow in Atlanta! I admit, I was a little skeptical. I thought the news was hyping it up just to get the whole city in a tizzy! But it really snowed - there wasn't much at first, I thought it was too warm to actually stick to the ground & stay but by the time we went to bed there was about 1/4 inch or so! Most was gone by this morning but at least Hudson got a little snow time in! Here are some pics...enjoy!

2008 is Great...?

While I am sure this will be such a wonderful year - especially as the little man continues to grow & learn, it sure has started off a little rocky! Hudson might be one the healthiest babies I know...he had two colds all last year!! And teething...I didn't even know he was cutting new teeth until I would stick my fingers in his mouth & find them!
But this first week of 2008 has been a doozie for our little household! January 1 & 2 Hudson was not a happy man...and was turning down food (if you've seen his pics, he doesn't miss any meals or snacks)! Well, on January 3 tooth #7 popped up - it doesn't look like his eye tooth - and it's not right next to his front 4 - but could it be the first molar!?!
On Saturday, he woke up a little earlier than normal and had a small cough. He was so happy & played and ran errands with us, we didn't think much of it. Well, Sunday morning came & we had a baby seal in the next room! The nurse at Children's Hospital returned my message & said to bring him in - it was most likely croup! All the babies I know have had croup at least once, so I knew we shouldn't worry, but he needed to get well soon!
Whew...all seems well now though. He's not sleeping that well, but we haven't had any all-nighters (fingers crossed)! He's still coughing, but no baby seal! As you'll see from the pic...he's back to eating!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!! We had a wonderful Christmas & very Happy New Year! Hudson was so much fun...although, I'm pretty sure the tissue paper was as much fun as all of the toys! We have been so blessed this year. The transition to stay-at-home Mommy wasn't quite as hard as I expected and it has been such fun! We had an AUsome new year with Auburn's win over Clemson (and I guess since we only ran about 6 plays and still won, I'm pretty excited about next season)!

And so to start the new year...I know this has been floating around in email for a few weeks, but it just cracks me up, so here goes...I hope this makes your day!
