And DIP #2 Is....

...well, apparently I'm more convincing than I thought or my Doc really likes me! I pleaded and begged to find out the sex of DIP #2 at our 16 week appt today {rather than wait a whole FOUR weeks until my next appt...I mean, 4 weeks is a long time, right?}! Dr Marcus said finally caved!!...and gave us a real shocker!!!
Can you tell?!?!

the New Bowl

So Beasley was quite unsure about his new food bowl...however, after some research, we are glad we purchased the Brake-Fast Bowl. If anyone has a big dog and heard of "stomach flipping" {aka gastric dilatation/volvulus} or even seen "Marley & Me," you can understand the reason for this purchase. Beasley eats his food in 10 seconds flat and it was beginning to weigh on the hearts of his momma & daddy! He could've been a little freaked by the bowl but Day 1 and it was a success!!
BTW...if you're interested in purchasing one, I bought the LARGE {b/c there was no other choice} but it is perfect for Beasley's size {70 lb Golden Retriever}. MEDIUM would probably work too.
funny looking bowl...but I'm sold
...Beasley...not so much...
but the food just looked too good! DIG IN!

Our Trip to Tampa...or was it Orlando

***Beware...lots of pictures!***
Each year, we head to Tampa to visit my dad {aka Paw Paw Holley}. This year, Sister and fam weren't able to make it & Kevin's back was in no shape for playing golf so we scoped out a great deal on a hotel in Orlando! Paw Paw had to work Friday which meant family day at Sea World!! We had no idea when we booked the hotel that it literally backed up to the Sea World entrance! Short walk & we were in! Hudson loved all the animals & was mesmerized by the shows. He did say his favorites were the "baby dawfins!"
Saturday, Paw Paw treated us to DISNEY WORLD! I didn't think Hudson would get it, but he could barely contain himself from the second we walked into the gate! First stop was pretty intense, Buzz Lightyear! One little hand gripped my shorts...the other holding closely onto the gun!! Once done, he ran to each new ride then the Mickey's House to meet the One and Only! Hudson didn't disappoint...as with Aubie, once we got within arms length, he FREAKED! We still managed to meet Mickey AND Minnie...head hidden and all!
He loved all the boat rides, esp. the "Mickey Boats" {aka It's a Small World}. He squeezed in a late-afternoon nap which meant we were able to stay for dinner & the SpectroMagic Parade! Oh, I can't wait to take him back when he's older and can remember more, but even now, seeing Disney through those 2 1/2 year old eyes was beyond precious.

Killer Whales
Awesome
nothing like a little mac/cheese & chocolate pudding to fire up the boy!
"Hum, what's going on here?"
the Sea Lions were so cute
Hudson loved the rock at the Manatees {yep, that's right...the ROCK}
loved the Stingrays but wouldn't touch them
the Dolphins would play peek-a-boo then pop up in a pose!
waiting to race at 'Dega {or Disney}
THE Mickey & Minnie

Happy Birthday...

...to me! And I usually don't "toot my own horn" but I have the best birthday present to share with all of you!

This was supposed to be our "waiting it out" period before we could try Clomid again...after our ordeal earlier this year. Well, God sure knows how to surprise a planner! Looks like we'll be welcoming DIP #2 {DeLine In Progress} around January 22!!!!!

*Please read the next post. With all of this excitement, I'm adding prayers for this sweet family. Please add them to your list too!!!*

Mike

PLEASE PRAY and pass it along to everyone you know. My dear, childhood friend's husband, Mike, has Hodgkin's Lymphoma. They have the most precious 5 month old little man, Trent. Mike has had this for 10 years, and unfortunately, they got some not-so-good news yesterday. I {and they} know God has a plan even if we can't see it. Please pray his new chemo treatment is the cure, and if nothing else, helps relieve his pain.
